EDA Bylaws Review Update

Summary:
At the EDA Executive Committee meeting on April 17, the committee briefly discussed the EDA Bylaws and what, if any updates might be needed. Members discussed the purpose of the bylaws and how they should be reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis. Executive Committee members identified the potential benefits of increasing transparency, efficiency, flexibility, and accountability of the EDA.
Executive Committee members directed staff to request further review of the EDA bylaws by City Attorney Chris Hood to determine if specific updates may be needed in regards to MN Statutes. Following City Attorney review, Executive Committee members will meet again to discuss potential changes and present potential recommendations at the EDA meeting in May.
