Little Library at Dresden Hills Park

Action Requested:
The Northfield Park and Recreation Advisory Board make a motion to accept the donation of a little library to be installed at Dresden Hills Park.
Summary Report:
A group of kids at the Northfield Middle School along with Growing Up Healthy have made Little Libraries to be located throughout low-income neighborhoods in Northfield. Growing Up Healthy would like to install a little library at Dresden Hills Park. This library will be stocked by Northfield Promise and Growing Up Healthy along with neighborhood leaders who will maintain the library.
Little Libraries have been installed at other Northfield Parks by the Boy Scouts. They include Washington, Heywood, John North and Sibley Swale.
Tentative Timelines:
Spring/Summer of 2017.
