SUMMARY:
Steve Schmidt is the owner of Schmidt Homes, a Northfield area custom home and remodeling company. Steve Schmidt is an experienced local developer, home builder and remodeler in Northfield and currently has lots for sale in the Hills of Spring Creek, Ontario Circle and Freedom Park subdivisions. They offer custom homes with a “building-green” option.
BACKGROUND:
The HRA Board has requested that staff gather information regarding the local housing market as background information as we consider options for development of the 11+ acres of land in the Southbridge subdivision development owned by the Northfield HRA. Steve Schmidt has been asked to provide information related to the basic subdivision requirements and the steps required for moving a residential development project forward. Steve Schmidt will also provide information on the local residential housing market and examples of various housing products that Schmidt Homes has developed in Northfield.
