Action Requested:

The Northfield Environmental Quality Commission views a presentation from Pat Allen, Judy Code and Lynn Vincent from Beautify Northfield Coalition.

Summary Report:

Beautify Northfield has helped install and maintain two gardens in Riverside Park.  One garden is in the shape of a butterfly and the other is a dragonfly.  Beautify Northfield has planted trees, shrubs, perennial and annuals around the community.  The Coalition promotes pollinator friendly plantings in public and private gardens.  This presentation will inform the EQC on what the Beautify Northfield Coalition and the City are doing to promote a Pollinator Friendly City.  In 2016 the City Council designated Northfield as a Pollinator Friendly Community.
