Closed City Council Meeting pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 13D.03, subd. 1 for consideration of strategy for labor negotiations.

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council close the meeting to review and discuss the labor negotiations process and strategies.
Summary Report:
All four bargaining unit labor contracts (Local 70 General, Local 70 Utilities, LELS Police Officer and LELS Sergeant) expire on December 31, 2016.
Staff and the City of Northfield’s Labor Attorney Brandon Fitzsimmons will be presenting strategies for union negotiations related to all contracts of the motions.
Please note staff must take official record of all people present at the closed meeting and be made available to the public after the closed meeting. Also, the meeting must be recorded. The recording must be kept for two years after the contract is signed. The recording becomes public after all labor agreements are signed by the council for the current budget period.
All information will be provided at the meeting.
