Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council considers a Motion approving the items listed as surplus and approves the sale of these items
Summary Report:
The items listed in Attachment 1 are surplus materials at various City buildings. These items have served their use and are now surplus materials. It is the staff’s objective to auction the items to prospective interested buyers. Should the items not be sold at auction, they would be recycled or disposed of.
There are surplus materials included in the list that were left in the fire station when the police department relocated, along with other items from the library when it was temporarily located in City Hall during its expansion and remodel project.

Financial Impacts:
Any proceeds from the auction would either go to the general fund, or to the respective enterprise funds for utility items.
Tentative Timelines:
Auction would occur through the summer of 2018.
