Action Requested:                     

The Northfield City Council will discuss the recent flood emergency and response enhancements and future mitigation and equipment needs.

 

Summary Report:

Staff is reviewing potential flood mitigation grants resulting from the emergency disaster declaration.  Items include downtown flood mitigation improvements being explored with flood wall enhancements, a sandbag filling machine and additional mobile pump to be added in addition to our current pumps.

 

We will also have some general discussion of the flood event and areas we will be focusing on in the future as a result of the most recent flood event.
