HRA to Consider Revised Meeting Dates and Times.

Action Requested:
HRA to review and adopt the proposed revised meeting dates and times for the upcoming 2023 calendar year.
Summary Report:
The City of Northfield’s 2021-2024 Strategic Plan is a living and evolving document that was adopted in 2021. The adjustment to day, time and location of board and commission meetings helps us reach two of our strategic priorities: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Service Excellence.
The intent of the adjustments are to increase equitable access, transparency, and consistency to those who are serving and to those who would like to participate.
The more that we are aligned as a community, City Council, boards and commissions, and city staff, the greater the likelihood we will arrive at our destination and ultimately accomplish our purpose as stated in our City Charter, “to promote and protect the health, safety, morals, comfort, convenience, and welfare of the inhabitants of the city…”
The HRA decided at the August meeting to maintain the existing HRA meeting schedule as voted for 2022.
Effective January 2023, the HRA has available meeting options:
• The 1st Thursday of the month at 6:00 PM;
• The 3rd Monday of the month at 6:00PM.
Staff has attached proposed meeting schedules reflective of the meeting days made available to HRA. Staff is requesting that HRA Board approve one of the proposed 2023 HRA Meeting schedules.
