Events/Education
* EV Experience Expo event on October 23, 2021 from 10 AM - 1 PM at Greenvale Park Elementary School. EQC members can support by sharing information with networks and staffing City info table.
* The One-Stop Lighting promotion done in collaboration with Center for Energy & Environment in September was successful. So far, 13 business and multi-family housing complexes have had audits done and are implementing upgrades. Based on estimates from half the projects, the energy savings are 78,618 kW hours. Once all projects are complete, the number should increase. A full report will be provided in early 2022.
* There will be a training for sales people and installers of Air Source Heat Pumps on November 9 from 8 - 9:30 AM at the Northfield Police Department training room. This is being done in partnership with the Air Source Heat Pump Collaborative and with the cities of Red Wind and Faribault.
* City Board & Commission Training Event - October 27 at 5:30 - 7:00 PM at the Northfield Senior Center Dining rooms, 1651 Jefferson Pkwy, Meal provided. RSVP to email from City Communications office.
Southeast Cities Community Engagement Cohort
Staff are working with University of Minnesota Extension to plan the workshop meetings for City partners to take place in the fall. First multi-city meeting was held on September 29. The group will be meeting monthly for the next few months.
Energy Transition Options planning work is underway with Nokomis Energy.
