Action Requested:
The Heritage Preservation Commission is asked to review and make a motion on the proposed changes to install new windows at 504 & 506 Division St. S. and install new doors 504 Division St. S.

Summary Report:
The building owner has applied for and received an EDA Fa?ade Improvement Grant (FIG). The FIG application was for painting both buildings, replacing upper level windows in both buildings and staining/painting the doors at 504. The owners came before the HPC in May and were approved for the paint colors of the buildings (two different colors of off-white (one for each fa?ade), trim colors and a darker "brick" color for the column between the buildings). The owner was asked to change the color of the window casings from Ebony to Bronze, and attempt to customize the windows in the upper floors of both buildings to mimic the existing without a transom. After the HPC and owner discussed the doors at 504, the owner thought replacing the doors altogether may be a better long-term solution and was going to look into replacements.

Proposed Changes to 504 Division St. S.:
1) Replace four windows with bronze clad casement thermopanes. The applicant is working with window/glass companies to attempt to match the size of the window. The applicant hopes to have this available by the time of the HPC meeting.
2) Replace two doors to a similar style of 401 Division St. S. - The Rare Pair business door.

Proposed Changes to the 506 Division St. S.:
1) Replace four windows with bronze clad casement thermopanes. The applicant is working with window/glass companies to attempt to match the size of the window. The applicant hopes to have this available by the time of the HPC meeting.
