HRC receives an update from the December 7, 2020 Local Commissions meeting held online by the State of Minnesota Department of Human Rights
Summary Report:
The State of Minnesota Department of Human Rights is the state agency with authority for investigating Human Rights Act violations along with other work. They are starting to convene periodic meetings for members of local Human Rights Commissions. A meeting was held on December 7, 2020. Mar Valdecantos and Beth Kallestad participated on behalf of the HRC. Some notes taken by Valdecantos are attached. Ideas were shared that may be of interest to our work going forward.
