Rice County Comprehensive Plan 2040 presentation.

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council will hear a presentation from Rice County staff on the draft 2040 Rice County Comprehensive Plan.
Summary Report:
Rice County has been working on an update to their Comprehensive Plan. The draft plan document is available for comment through the end of October.
Plan documents are available on the County website at: <https://www.co.rice.mn.us/197/Comprehensive-Plan>
The plan includes the following eight chapters.
Julia Hogan and Trent McCorkell from Rice County Planning are presenting the County information.
Alternative Options:
The Northfield City Council could consider whether or not to prepare formal comments to submit to the County Board.
Financial Impacts:
Development and infrastructure decisions are guided by the Comprehensive Plan, and could have financial implications over time.
Tentative Timelines:
The County request formal comments on the plan by the end of October 2020.
