Update on City Council Transportation Advisory Committee Process and Schedule.

The Northfield City Council discuss the Northfield Transportation Advisory Committee (NTAC)
Summary Report:
On September 18, 2018 the City Council established NTAC. The enabling resolution is attached for reference. The four focus areas of NTAC were approved by Council on October 16, 2018.

4. Highway 19 Corridor related initiatives
NTAC held three meetings in 2019 and discussed all four of the focus areas. The first meeting in January was focused on getting the committee background information on the focus areas. In March, the committee focused on the review and development of Hiawathaland Transit survey. In May, the results of the Hiawathaland Transit survey were shared and there was a discussion on the Highway 19 Corridor.

The upcoming agenda for February 13, 2020 from 11:00 am -12:30 pm in the City Council Chambers includes Dakota County 2040 Transportation Plan Update. The County is currently developing the 2040 plan and this will be an opportunity for the Committee to hear about the plan and provide input.
Co-Chairs Pownell and Nakasian, Public Works Director/City Engineer Bennett and City Administrator Martig have been working on a 2020 work plan (see attached working draft). This group thought it would be good to present this draft work plan to council in preparation of the committee's upcoming meeting. The work plan does follow the council's overall enabling resolution.
