Staff has provided an overview of the EDA Statutory Authority and Orientation materials.
BACKGROUND:
The objective of an “EDA 101” segment is to provide an overview of the statutory authority of an EDA as well as an update on recent accomplishments, current and ongoing projects, and potential future initiatives of the Northfield EDA.
For your reference, State Statute 469.101 regarding the establishment and powers of an Economic Development Authority is attached to this staff report. The EDA Bylaws are also included as an attachment under the agenda item for the Election of Officers.
