The Northfield City Council approves summary publication of Ordinance No. 1008 vacating sanitary sewer easement in Lots 3 and 4, Block 48, Original Town.
Summary Report:
The Northfield City Council has completed the first and second readings of Ordinance No. 1008 regarding the vacation of this sanitary sewer easement. City Charter Section 4.10 permits summary publication of ordinances.
Alternative Options:
The City Council could direct staff to publish the entire ordinance.
Financial Impacts:
The cost to publish the entire ordinance would be approximately 4 times more that the cost to publish the summary.
Tentative Timelines:
• First reading of ordinance December 3, 2019.
• Second reading of ordinance January 7, 2020.
• Ordinance effective 30 days after publication.
