The Northfield City Council is being asked to consider approval of Brewer Taproom On-sale, Off-sale and Sunday Liquor Licenses for Imminent Brewing, LLC, 519 Division Street S, Suite 2, Northfield subject to the following conditions:
* Receipt of all final documents

Summary Report:
Imminent Brewing, LLC, has applied for brewer taproom on-sale, off-sale and Sunday liquor licenses. Imminent Brewing, LLC meets the qualifications necessary for these licenses. The application for liquor license has been checked for compliance, which covers the provisions of Minnesota State Law and City Code. Staff has met with the licensee on numerous occasions, including a recent walk through of their facility. Staff recommends approval of the licenses with the condition noted above. A public hearing was held at the April 18, 2017 City Council meeting.

Imminent Brewing, LLC will be the second microbrewery/taproom to open in Northfield. Imminent Brewing's mission is to provide delicious, fresh and local beers in an environment that fosters community, connection and conversation. They intend to use local ingredients in freshly crafted beers. They will serve beer in their taproom as well as growlers for off-sale consumption. Imminent Brewing will not be preparing food on site. However, patrons are allowed to bring food into the facility. In addition, they intend to have occasional food trucks, and eventually food will also be available through the adjacent Armory space when developed. Nothing precludes the holder of a brewer taproom license from also holding a license to operate a restaurant on the premises of the brewery. However, they are not required to have a restaurant.
