Title

Consider approval of Project Management Agreement for NAFRS Facility Upgrade Project.

Body

Action Requested:

The Northfield City Council authorize the approval of Project Management Agreement for NAFRS Facility Upgrade Project.

Summary Report:

The attached draft agreement will establish the City of Northfield to provide an advisory role in the project management of NAFRS.  This agreement was presented and discussed at the Council worksession of March 14, 2017.

The NAFRS Board unanimously approved this agreement at its meeting on Thursday, March 17.

NAFRS agreed that they would not require a single “Project Representative” that had been previously contemplated.  Instead, the NAFRS Board will serve this function and will be working with the “Facility Design Committee” and the “Facility Committee” of NAFRS to provide them insights into the agreement.

The NAFRS Board has not formally established the Design Committee but is under further discussion. There has been no objection to the current membership proposed.

Alternative Options:

Remove from consent to discuss or clarify any items.

Financial Impacts:

There is no cost for this agreement.

Tentative Timelines:

The proposed agreement begins March 22 and ends by December 31, 2018.
