Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves publication of a summary of Ordinance No. 986.
Summary Report:
The Northfield City Council has completed the first and second readings of Ordinance No. 986 which amends Chapter 34 - Land Development Code: Article 3 - Site Development, Table 3.2-1: Residential District Site Development Standards to change the permitted Building Area Ratio in the R1 Zone District from 25% to 30%. City Charter Section 4.10 permits summary publication of ordinances.
Alternative Options:
The City Council could direct staff to publish the entire ordinance.
Financial Impacts:
The cost to publish the entire ordinance would be higher than the cost to publish the summary.
Tentative Timelines:
If approved, the summary is proposed to be published on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. The ordinance would then be effective on March 15, 2017.
