Title

Discuss 2025 Reclamation and Overlay Project Walking and Biking Improvements.

Body

Action Requested:

The Northfield City Council discusses 2025 Reclamation and Overlay Project Walking and Biking Improvements.

Summary Report:

On March 12, 2024 Council ordered the feasibility report for the 2025 Reclamation and Overlay project.  At the meeting there was a lot of discussion related to the proposed walking and biking improvement on Washington Street south of Woodley St.

Again, at the neighborhood meeting on May 1, the majority of the discussion from residents was related to not wanting a shared use path or sidewalk on Washington Street.  Staff is recommending council discuss in more detail the project.

Staff will also review phasing of Mill Towns State Trail construction in Northfield from 2024-2026 and where we are at with each phase.
