The Northfield City Council is asked to approve a resolution approving a proclamation recognizing Cardinal Glass for Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Minnesota STAR (MNSTAR) award and for 40 years in the City of Northfield.
Summary Report:
Cardinal Glass Industries has been part of the Northfield community since 1986. The company operates its Cardinal CG Company facility in Northfield, where it manufactures coated glass products for residential windows and doors.
In 2026, Cardinal Glass is celebrating 40 years in Northfield. The company has been an important member of the local business community, providing employment opportunities and contributing to Northfield's economy.
The Cardinal CG facility in Northfield has also received recognition through the Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s STAR (MNSTAR) Program. MNSTAR recognizes worksites where management and employees work together to develop comprehensive workplace safety and health programs that go beyond basic OSHA requirements.
