The Northfield City Council hereby approves a temporary expansion of licensed premises on private property for Flaherty’s Arden Bowl, Inc. dba Flaherty’s Northfield Lanes, 1700 S. Highway 3 on Saturday, October 5th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Sec. 6-70 of the Northfield City Code addresses temporary expansions of licensed premises; outdoor sales and service and is attached as a hyperlink as Attachment 1.
1. Temporary expansion permits are subject to the following conditions:
• Final review and approval of layout and barriers proposed to be used by the Chief of Police.
• Compliance with all terms and conditions noted in City Code Section 6-70 - Temporary expansion of licensed premises/outdoor sales and service.
Summary Report:
The City Council is being asked to approve the temporary expansion of licensed premises on private property for Flaherty’s Arden Bowl, Inc. dba Flaherty’s Northfield Lanes, 1700 S. Highway 3 on Saturday, October 5th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (Rain date is Sunday, October 6th.) This is for an outdoor live music concert with 500 people estimated to attend. They will rent port-a-potties and the area will be fenced in as alcohol will be served in the area. Flaherty’s will hire security to monitor and patrol the event. Shuttle busses will be provided from the movie theater in Dundas to assist in the lack of parking at Flaherty’s.
Staff has reviewed the application and recommends approval.
