Consideration of Business Name Change for On-Sale Liquor License for Fielder’s Northfield LLC DBA Rosemary Italian Kitchen and Bar at 2300 Gleason Court.

Action Requested:                     

The Northfield City Council approves a motion to approve the name change for the on-sale liquor license currently held by Fielder’s Northfield LLC DBA Fielder’s Choice Tap and Table to Fielder’s Northfield LLC DBA Rosemary Italian Kitchen and Bar.

 

Summary Report:

Fielder’s Northfield LLC DBA Fielder’s Choice Tap and Table currently holds a valid on-sale liquor license issued by the City of Northfield.  The business has notified the City of its intent to change its operating name to Rosemary Italian Kitchen and Bar, effective Monday, May 26, 2025.  There will be no change in ownership, management or operations as part of this name change.  The only modification is to the Doing Business As (DBA) name under which the business will be operating.

 

Any changes to the business name of an entity holding an on-sale liquor license is reviewed by staff and approved by the City Council.  City staff has reviewed the request and has confirmed the following:

 

                     The license holder remains the same legal entity.

                     All license fees are current and in good standing.

                     There are no outstanding violations or pending enforcement actions again the licensee.

                     The Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division (DPS-AGE) has been notified and is processing the name change accordingly. 

                     A change in legal name of a business holding an on-sale liquor license does not require a new license provided there is no change in ownership or control.
