Title
The HRA Board shall be given an update on outstanding HRA/City and housing related items.

Action Requested:
There are a number of outstanding items related to and connected to the HRA, City, and housing in the community. Below is a summary update on each item. The Board has the opportunity to discuss or ask questions about each item individually if desired.

Summary Report:
Community Engagement
There will be a community engagement event surrounding the 5th and Washington redevelopment on Saturday, September 28 from 10:00 am to 2 pm at the City Public Parking lot at 5th and Washington. Housing is a proposed component of the development.

The City Building/Inspections Department has completed physical assessment of homes in both manufactured home communities in Northfield. Letters informing residents of needed repairs have all been mailed and staff has started re-inspections of those units with identified repairs needed. Staff is taking efforts to first engage with homeowners before sending letters of correction to management. Staff is working on coordinating a follow up meeting at Viking Terrace (VT) with the management and having limited success.

Community Development Specialist will be providing an HRA housing program update and sharing the new Housing Needs Assessment at the Human Rights Commission (HRC) on Wednesday, September 25.
