Oath of Office Ceremony for Northfield Police Department Officer Alex Klobe.

City Clerk, Lynette Peterson, will administer the Oath or Affirmation of Office to Police Officer Alex Klobe.
Summary Report:
Officer Alex Klobe was hired in the last several months to fill a vacancy for the position of Police Officer. We will be ceremoniously administering the Oath of Office to him as he assumes his new role in the Police Department. This ceremony will be done in person in front of the City Council.
Police Chief Jeff Schroepfer will introduce Officer Klobe and City Clerk Lynette Peterson will administer the Oath of Office. Following the oath, Officer Klobe's family will pin on his badge. Councilors will then take a photo with the officer and are encouraged to congratulate the Officer on their new role. Members of the Police Department and friends and family of the new officer are expected to be in attendance and will leave the Council Chambers immediately following this agenda item.
Officer Alex Klobe was born and raised in Lino Lakes. After high school, Alex joined the army national guard and spent 9 years serving as a Cavalry Scout. After basic training, he attended Metropolitan State University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement and went on to complete the Police Training and Education Skills program through Hennepin Technical college. Before joining the Northfield Police Department, Alex spent two years working as a Police Officer in the City of Le Center.
In his free time, Alex enjoys throwing the ball for his dog Riggs, and fishing. During the summer months, he is usually on the golf course with his younger brother.
