Summary Report:
The Northfield City Council will hear a presentation by a local developer to redevelop the corner of 5th Street E. and Washington Street S. as well as development of Lot 5 of The Crossings property. The Developer will present their concept of both developments. We have the information provided to the EDA at a prior meeting as well as a hyperlink to the City website project page for the Fifth Street Lofts where updated information will be provided.
At 5th and Washington, the concept is to redevelop the property with 79 residential units offering modern urban living, along with enclosed parking. The concept includes an option for public parking that may be considered for operations by the City. The current concept includes 33 studio, 38 one-bed and 8 two-bed units. Enclosed parking proposes 63 stalls for residents, and 42 stalls for public use and operation.
A proposal for a commercial use on Lot 5 of The Crossings (2nd Street and Water Street) will be presented to the Council.
