Title
Consider Motion approving the Sibley Swale Park Improvement Plan.
Body
Action Requested:
Consider Motion approving the Sibley Swale Park Improvement Plan.
Summary Report:
The City has been working with Bruce Jacobson, Landscape Architect, and Bolton & Menk, Inc. to develop plans for the replacement of the playground equipment and park improvements at Sibley Swale Park.
The concept design for the proposed improvements was developed through a collaborative process that included input from a working group consisting of the park's Adopt-a-Park family and frequent park users. In addition, City staff conducted neighborhood meetings to gather feedback from residents and park users regarding desired improvements.
The resulting concept plan reflects the input received throughout the public engagement process and serves as the basis for the proposed park improvements.
Bruce Jacobson will present the concept plan. Once approved by Council, staff will move forward on constructing a bid package to send out and request bids to complete this project.
The concept plans for approval at tonight’s meeting (attachment 1) and the project process (attachment 2) are attached.
