The Northfield City Council approves resolution approving the amended 1.09 Council Representation on Boards and Commissions Policy.
Summary Report:
1.09 Council Representations on Boards and Commissions (previously 1.09 Council Liaison Policy) was created in 2024 to establish guidelines for members of the City Council appointed to boards and commissions.
To align with current ways of working, recent board and commission governance changes and the annual review of the Rules of Business, 1.09 Council Representation on Boards and Commissions has been amended. Updates include removing the term “Council Liaison” per Council request, aligning the policy with recent updates to the City Code related to determining which boards and commission the City Council will place members on, and editing the document to better align with the current processes.
A redlined draft of the updated policy (attachment 2) and clean version of the updated policy (attachment 3) are attached.
