The ACC Approves a Request for Additional Percent for the Arts Funds for Expanded “Dear Northfield” Illustrations.
Summary Report:
Community Development Director, Jake Reilly, proposed that we approach Rocky Casillas to expand upon the “Dear Northfield” outreach and illustrations he created for the Arte en Accion project, funded through the Percent for the Arts in 2023. The first set of illustrations focus on challenges facing the Latine community in Northfield and will be included in the City’s comprehensive plan, which looks ahead to 2045. The second set of illustrations would focus on aspirations: envisioning a community where the challenges were addressed and needs met. The attached proposal details the project goals.
