Discussion regarding the 2025 Work Plan

Body

Action Requested:

EQC discusses priority items for the 2025 Work Plan

Summary Report:

In order for the EQC Commissioners and staff to make the best use of meeting and outside meeting time work on EQC items, the EQC will develop a more intentional work plan for 2025.  The City is also asking all boards & commissions to align their work, as much as possible, with the 2021-2024 Strategic Plan. Climate Action Plan implementation is one of the six priorities in that plan so much of what EQC does already fits.

EQC Commissioners are asked to think about the following questions to begin discussion:

1.                     Are there items or topics (either in the Climate Action Plan or not) that you would like to see the EQC Commissioners work on?

2.                     Of these topics, are there any you would be willing to take the lead on? If so, how? For example:  Convene a work group of residents,

3.                     What resources might be needed to carry actions out?

4.                     What is the “deliverable”?  For example: research and write draft ordinance to bring to City Council, provide community outreach at event, review and recommend Council support.
