Body

Action Requested:

The Northfield City Council approves the summary publication of Ordinance No. 1092

Summary Report:

The Northfield City Council approved the first reading of Ordinance No. 1092, an amendment to City lodging tax collection processes.

The requested amendments would transfer the process of collecting lodging taxes to the State Department of Revenue office, to be remitted to the City and Convention Visitors Bureau.

City Plans & Policies Relevance:

Cost savings of publishing a summary of the ordinance is consistent with the Comprehensive and Strategic Plans.

Alternative Options:

The City Council could direct staff to publish the entire ordinance.
