                     Upcoming Climate Leadership Gathering

An introductory meeting has been scheduled for Friday, May 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Northfield United Methodist Church (1401 Maple Street). The meeting is intended to explore potential collaboration and training opportunities with the University of Minnesota Extension's Climate Adaptation Partnership. The meeting will be led by  Christy Marsden, the University’s program organizer and she will introduce the Community Climate Leaders program, which aims to equip participants with tools and strategies to lead climate action in their communities. Staff and several EQC Commissioner will be in attendance

The City of Northfield, Clean River Partners, and Carleton College are hosting a community gathering focused on climate action. This event will bring together community members to explore innovative strategies for climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience, with special attention to the Northfield riverfront.
