The ACC receives an update on the Art in Public Places Program.
Summary Report:
• Downtown murals: include photos
o The River Walk mural by Natasha Mae Platt located on bridge supports behind the Arts Guild is coming along beautifully. This location was selected because it has been a frequent target of graffiti and years of patches to cover it were unsightly. In addition to artwork, which is a known deterrent, the area will get improved lighting. This photo was taken on Thursday, September 4th.
• Ice Arena: The Call to artists for the ice arena will be public this week. The Public Art Review Committee will meet on October 13th at 5 pm at 411 Water St. We still need at least one youth member to participate.
