Action Requested:                     

The Northfield City Council approves a motion approving an amended service contract with Healthy Community Initiative (HCI).

 

Summary Report:

The Northfield City Council is being asked to approve an amended contract with the Northfield Healthy Community Initiative (HCI).  The contract was previously approved in 2024, and the general terms have not changed since that approval. 

 

The only change is related to the change in name and designation of the Youth Substance Prevention Alliance Task Force (previously the Northfield Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention).

 

A resolution approving the creation/modification of the Youth Substance Prevention Alliance Task Force is a separate item on this meeting consent agenda.

 

Alternative Options:

N/A

 

Financial Impacts:                     

$81,955 for 2025, $84,414 for 2026, and $86,946 for 2027 for the Northfield Youth Investment Fund.

 

$14,069 for 2025, $14,491 for 2026, and $14,926 for 2027 for support for Youth Substance Prevention Alliance Task Force.

 

These numbers did not change from the initial contract.

 

Tentative Timelines:                     

The change to the Youth Substance Prevention Alliance Task Force will start in 2026.
