The Arts & Culture Commission is being asked to affirm the recommendation of the PARC for the 2024-2027 Poet Laureate Appointment.
Summary Report:
A PARC appointed by the ACC to select the next Poet Laureate met on March 18th to review applications, and on April 9th to interview candidates and come to a consensus. The PARC received 3 applications and after careful consideration, selected Russ Boyington, who writes under the name, Russ Paladin, to fill a three-year term as Poet Laureate for the City of Northfield. Pending ACC approval, Russ Paladin will begin official duties in June.
