Summary Report:
Staff will provide an update at the meeting. The following are some initial updates:

City Council Adopted Strategic Plan
Attached is the City Council adopted Strategic Plan from May of 2025. Implementation is now ready to go full steam ahead. Staff is currently working on developing an action plan to present for Council review.

The Economic Development Authority is a lead board to assist in collaborating with staff and Council on advancing the strategic initiatives "a) Develop and implement Northwest Area Shovel Ready and Recruitment Plan" and "b) Strategies to develop high potential C/I properties" as shown below. See page 2 for the full 1-page plan goal.

The EDA work plan shall align with this top priority including alignment of budget initiatives. City staff will be working to highlight these and plans to schedule regular discussions with the EDA for feedback and guidance to staff and advisory input to the City Council.

Additionally, please see on page 11 that "A decision to integrate rather than isolate key commitments, specifically Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Climate Change. These areas, which were previously addressed as standalone priorities, have seen meaningful progress. However, recognizing their continued importance, the leadership group opted to embed DEI and Climate Change into each of the four strategic priorities to ensure they are treated as cross cutting commitments rather than siloed efforts." Therefore, these priorities should still remain "top of mind and priority" as well as the EDA conducts their work.

Staff will discuss this more at the meeting and welcomes questions and input from the EDA on this issue.
