Consider Amendments to Board and Commission Rules of Business and Appendices.

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves a resolution to approve the amendments to the attached Board and Commission Rules of Business and related Appendices going into effect May 7, 2025.
Summary Report:
The City Council conducts an annual review of the Board and Commission Rules of Business and related Appendices, making amendments as needed. This is aligned with review of the Council Rules of Business. Throughout the year staff notes changes to incorporate at the annual review to bring the Rules of Business up to date. A redline version of the updates is attached. This year the following changes/amendments are proposed:
1. Minor edits to reflect current ways of working.
2. Updates to appendices related to changes made to the Council Rules of Business.
Alternative Options:
The Council can choose not to amend the Board and Commission Rules of Business or can propose other changes. If Council chooses to make other changes, the item can be pulled from the consent agenda for discussion on the regular agenda.

Not applicable.
Tentative Timelines:
• January 6, 2026 - Council approves Board and Commission Rules of Business amendments
• January 7, 2026 - Board and Commission Rules of Business goes into effect
