Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves the following board/commission appointments.
Summary Report:
The City Council is being asked to approve the following board, commission, and committee appointments. With the recent code updates, most board and commission appointments have shifted to an April appointment and May start to terms. However, due to various reasons, some have remained with a December appointment and January term start, including some Council appointments.
Proposed appointments in the attachment are as follows:
Northfield Area Fire and Rescue Services
• Peter Dahlen removed from the board as a voting member per Council Motion 2026-010, limiting Council representation to one member.
• Brad Ness reappointed to a partial term ending December 31, 2026.
Planning Commission
• Kathleen Holmes removed from the commission as voting member per Council Motion 2026-010, adjusting Council representation to one advisory member.
Environmental Quality Commission
• Davin Sokup removed from the commission per Council Motion 2026-010, limiting Council representation to only required and select boards/commission, not including the EQC.
