Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves a Storm Water Maintenance Agreement with the City of Dundas related to Dundas Commons Development.
Summary Report:
As part of the Dundas Commons development, the existing storm water pond located south of 2420 Bridgewater Ln (Maurices) will be relocated with the development. This existing pond is City owned and operated.
With the new development, a larger shared pond will be built by the developer and turned over to the City of Dundas. This pond will incorporate the storm water flow that was going to the existing pond behind Maurices.
Staff have worked with the City of Dundas on developing a shared maintenance agreement for the pond. Dundas will maintain the pond and the City will contribute to future maintenance based on the cost share in the agreement (28% Northfield, 72% Dundas).
Staff is recommending approval of the agreement.
