Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves the following board/commission appointments.
Summary Report:
The City Council is being asked to approve the following board, commission, and committee appointments. With the recent code updates, most board and commission appointments have shifted to an April appointment and May start to terms.
The applications for individuals outside of Council members being recommended for appointment are also attached (attachment 1).
Proposed appointments in the attachment are as follows:
Economic Development Authority
• Bob Pfefferle appointed to a term ending April 30, 2032.
Environmental Quality Commission
• Michael Provancha reappointed to a term ending April 30, 2029.
• Susannah Shumurak reappointed to a term ending April 30, 2029.
• Simon Pryor appointed to a term ending April 30, 2029.
Heritage Preservation Commission
• Amy Machacek Shonka reappointed to a term ending April 30, 2029.
• Larry Tolle appointed to a term ending April 30, 2029.
Planning Commission
• William Kuhlman reappointed to a term ending April 30, 2029.
• Julia Menard appointed to a term ending April 30, 2029.
Northfield Transportation Advisory Committee
• Glen Castore appointed as Bridgewater Township representative.
Mill Towns Trail Joint Powers Board
• David Detert appointed to a term ending December 31, 2026.
