The Heritage Preservation Commissioners are asked to review and consider their interest in attending the 2024 PreserveMN conference.
If you want to attend the PreserveMN conference this year, please notify Mathias Hughey of your interest by Wednesday, August 21.
Summary Report:
Each year the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) holds the PreserveMN conference, and SHPO provides the opportunity for Cooperating Local Governments (CLGs) to receive funding to cover the cost of attendance for up to five (5) attendees including city staff, Heritage Preservation Commissioners, or others.
The conference is in Red Wing, MN this year, and will be held on September 18-20.
To receive funding, scholarship recipients must attend the conference on both Thursday and Friday. Scholarships will only cover the cost of registration for participants from Northfield. If you would like to stay overnight in Red Wing, you must cover the cost of lodging. Travel costs and time spent at the conference are not eligible expenses for the scholarship but are used to provide the required funding match.
