Action Requested:                     

The Northfield City Council hereby approves a temporary expansion of licensed premises on private property for Flaherty’s Arden Bowl, Inc. dba Flaherty’s Northfield Lanes, 1700 S. Highway 3 on Saturday, September 28th from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Sec. 6-70 of the Northfield City Code addresses temporary expansions of licensed premises; outdoor sales and service and is attached as a hyperlink as Attachment 1.

 

1.                     Temporary expansion permits are subject to the following conditions:

                     Final review and approval of layout and barriers proposed to be used by the Chief of Police.

                     Compliance with all terms and conditions noted in City Code Section 6-70 - Temporary expansion of licensed premises/outdoor sales and service.

 

Summary Report:

The City Council is being asked to approve the temporary expansion of licensed premises on private property for Flaherty’s Arden Bowl, Inc. dba Flaherty’s Northfield Lanes, 1700 S. Highway 3 on Saturday, September 28th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  This is for a bean bag tournament with attendance expected as 150 people.  They will have port-a-potties available on site and will have fencing surrounding the event as alcohol will be allowed.  

 

Staff has reviewed the application and recommends approval.
