The City Council approves Resolution Proclaiming July 30th through August 2nd, 2026 as “Vintage Band Festival Week” in Northfield, Minnesota.
Summary Report:
The Vintage Band Festival was founded in Northfield in July 2006 to celebrate the history and tradition of brass and wind music and to showcase Northfield as an ideal location for an outdoor music performance event. Over the past two decades, the festival has evolved into an internationally recognized event that attracts musicians and visitors from across the United States and around the world.
Through its free public performances, programming, and partnerships with local organizations and businesses, the Vintage Band Festival contributes significantly to the culture, community and economic vitality of Northfield.
In recognition of the 20th anniversary of the festival, staff recommends approval of the attached resolution proclaiming Vintage Band Festival Week in the City. This year’s event is extended due to the milestone year and will run from July 30-August 2, 2026.
