The Northfield City Council Approves Resolution for Naming Rights Agreements for Donation toward New Ice Arena.
Note: Accepting Donations requires 5 Affirmative votes from the City Council.
Summary Report:
As part of the partnership with the Northfield Hockey Association (NHA), the NHA has done a wonderful job securing donations for the New Ice Arena. As of late April, the NHA has secured $3.8 Million in donations related to cash and site work. They have also secured the land donation. The NHA has met the original partnership goal of $2 Million.
On May 6, 2025 the City Council approved the donation agreement with the Northfield Hockey Association. As part of the donation agreement, a Naming Rights agreement template was included. The City Council is asked to approve the naming rights agreements with the 10 donors. A summary is below.
