Consider Resolution Approving MnDOT Cooperative Construction Agreement for the TH 246 East Side Trail Construction Project.

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council approves the attached Resolution for Cooperative Construction Agreement for TH 246 East Side Trail Construction Project.
Summary Report:
Local Partnership Program (LPP) is a statewide transportation partnership with local agencies that allow for construction projects that are mutually beneficial, but are not programmed on State Highways Improvement Plan. The City of Northfield applied for LPP in 2022. In March of 2023, the City received notice from MnDOT that we were successful in receiving funding for the TH 246 East Side Trail Construction.
The attached cooperative agreement provides for the fund from the LPP to the City. The City has received bids and awarded the project.
The project is in construction at this time. The agreement had been under review and MnDOT is aware the commencement started before the agreement was finalized.
Alternative Options:
None, staff is recommending approval of the agreement.
