Action Requested:

The Library Board will finalize a vision statement for the library.

Summary Report:

 

The Library Board’s workplan for 2023-24 includes the task of updating the library’s Mission, Vision, and Value statements. To complete this work, the Board engaged in an exercise to develop a vision for the library at the May 8th meeting, facilitated by Krista Ross and Steve Harsin from SELCO.

 

After staff had a chance to review and comment on the statement drafted at the May 8th meeting, the following statement is proposed for consideration by the board: “A community where we all thrive”.
