Meeting Date: April 14, 2022
To: Members of the Heritage Preservation Commission
From: Revee Needham, Assistant City Planner
Title
Discuss and Approve the Heritage Preservation Commission Work Plan.
Body
Action Requested: Discuss and approve the 2022-2023 Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) Work Plan.
Summary Report: The 2022-2023 HPC Work Plan was reviewed and discussed at the February 10, 2022 HPC meeting. HPC members provided suggestions and those were incorporated into this updated work plan. To decide upon priority levels, a survey was sent to Commissioners in March. The rankings from Commissioners were averaged and included.
• Priority 1 Objectives are the highest priority, taking precedence over the rest of the items on the work plan. These include applications such as Certificate of Appropriateness, Sign Permits, and Local Site Designations.
• Priority 2 Objectives are medium priority, and are what the HPC would realistically like to accomplish this year.
• Priority 3 Objectives are the lowest priority, and will only be tackled as time and resources allow. Remaining projects may be moved onto next year’s work plan.
Commissioners can discuss the proposed priority levels and adjust as needed. This work plan is not an exhaustive list of all the actions and projects the HPC may work on in the coming year, but is a guide. Priority 1 Objectives will take precedence over other items as applications are received.
Alternative Options: If additional modifications are required, the work plan can continue to be amended and approved at a later meeting.
