Approve Refuse License Renewals.

Action Requested:
The Northfield City Council hereby approves refuse license renewals for April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027 as shown on the attached list subject to submittal of all final documents.
Summary Report:
The City Council is being asked to approve the 2026 refuse licenses as shown on the attached list. The City received 9 applications from refuse haulers.
In addition to the completed application, licensees are also are required to submit the following documents:
• Certificate of insurance
• List of vehicles
• Certificate of Compliance Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Law
• Tax information form
A license is required to transport garbage, recyclables, or refuse for hire on any street or public place in Northfield.
Staff recommends approval of the refuse licenses as shown on the attached list.

License fees received are $2,475. Licenses fees are $100 plus $25 per vehicle.
