Consider Approval of Contract for NW Area Trunk Sanitary Sewer Preliminary Design and Environmental Review.

Action Requested:
The City Council approves the consultant services contract with Bolton and Menk, Inc. (Attachment 1) for the NW Area Trunk Sanitary Sewer Preliminary Design and Environmental Review.
Summary Report:
The Northfield Strategic Plan 2025-2028 identifies increased commercial and induction tax base as a desired outcome. Additionally, one of the strategic initiatives is to “Develop and implement Northwest Area shovel ready and recruitment plan”. The NW Area Trunk Sanitary Sewer Preliminary Design and Environmental Review will aid in preparing the NW area becoming more shovel ready.
The City’s Comprehensive Sewer Plans identifies a Trunk Sewer line to serve the NW development area. This proposed work will further enhance the preparation for development in the NW Area.
