The Northfield City Council approves the following Council appointments.
Summary Report:
The City Council is being asked to approve the following appointments.
As part of the process, I met with available applicants for approximately 30 minutes each. These meetings provided me with a chance to get to know new applicants as well as provided a check-in time for those that I already know or that were re-applying for a position. I also met with each of the Board and Commission Chairs and City Council members. Applications of proposed appointments are attached (attachment 1).
Additional appointments will be included in a supplemental memo in advance of the meeting.
Proposed appointments are as follows:
Economic Development Authority
• Kristin Lucas appointed for a one-year term ending December 31, 2023.
Heritage Preservation Commission
• Sean Allen appointed for a three-year term ending December 31, 2025.
Housing and Redevelopment Authority
• George Zuccolotto appointed for a five-year term ending December 31, 2027.
Library Board
• Kate Carlson appointed for a two-year term ending December 31, 2024.
Northfield Area Fire and Rescue Services
• Brad Ness reappointed for a three-year term ending December 31, 2025.
• Michael Stowe appointed for a three-year term ending December 31, 2025.
Planning Commission
• Bill Kuhlmann reappointed for a three-year term ending December 31, 2025.
• William Schroeer reappointed for a three-year term ending December 31, 2025.
• Don Stager appointed for a two-year term ending December 31, 2024.
• Davin Sokup appointed as non-voting ex officio member for a one-year term ending December 31, 2023.
Convention and Visitors Bureau
• Melissa Bernhard appointed for a one-year term ending December 31, 2023.
Northfield Transportation Advisory Committee
• Jim Purfeerst - Rice County Commissioner
• Tony Rowan - Greenvale Township Supervisor
