Summary Report:
1. The Minnesota House of Representatives and Senate have each passed an Omnibus Taxes bill that includes the reinstatement and extension of the state Historic Structure Rehabilitation Tax Credit!
2. May was Preservation Month! City Communications produced two videos, attached, for the month.
3. The HPC has been assigned two new youth on board members for the 2023-2024 school year.
4. The Transit Hub plans were approved by City Council in May.
5. The EDA is discussing bringing back the Façade Improvement Grant next year.
6. The City Council is discussed improvements downtown with the flood study and FEMA Benefit Cost Analysis.
7. The Arts and Culture Commission will be hosting a Public Art Review Committees (PARC) in the coming months for public art projects in downtown for Artists on Main Street and Hispanic Heritage banners. There will be an HPC representative on both PARCs.
8. The City is working with Barr Engineering on a Feasibility Report to explore options for the Ames Mill Dam. More information will be presented in the coming months.
9. The City conducted a parking study for downtown, attached.
10. Minor COAs / Building Permit Updates:
• 519 Division St S - Imminent Brewing has applied for the building permit for their pergola on the patio.
